Testing sequence for TRL 5, 6, or 7
There are five stages to testing at KASL:

1) Webform submission and review as a candidate test, then evaluating details on the characteristics of the test, the sector to be tested, the intended impact on the SDGs, logistics requirements, preferred timing, local human participation desired, safety controls needed, internal and external budget, permissions required, and anticipated impact if successful.
2) Review by KASL staff: Clarification, acceptance or rejection, paperwork, budget, and scheduling.
3) Performance of the test, with additional scheduling if the first effort is incomplete or requires revision.
4) Performance assessment
-
Internal to the testing entity
-
External from the Marshallese
-
External from the ARISE framework and any other validated metric.
5) Discussion of next steps desired, with the intent that successful experiments gain significant visibility through KASL, and that anything successful will become a part of the constellation of global adaptation strategies.
